Za’atar (From the Middle East). This aromatic tart spice blend (not to be confused with the herb za’atar, which is a wild thyme) is excellent for a rub on lamb and chicken, sprinkled over vegetables, added to hummus, or as a dip for pita bread when mixed with olive oil. The ingredients are sesame seeds, sumac, coriander, thyme, cumin, and black pepper.
Shichimi Togarashi (From Japan). This blend is also known as Japanese seven spice. It goes well in ramen noodles and rice dishes, in soups and on grilled meats, tuna, tofu, and on chicken wings. It has a heat that hits quickly and fades fast combined with a taste of citrus and a little seaweed. The ingredients are black pepper, cayenne, tangerine zest, garlic, poppy seed, black sesame and Japanese seaweed.
Vindaloo Curry (From India). This is a hot curry popular in South India. Our Vindaloo curry is toned down a bit while still not losing its aromatic qualities. It can be used on beef, chicken, lamb, fish, and vegetables. The Ingredients are cumin, cardamom, red chilis, mustard, cinnamon, fenugreek seeds, and black pepper.
Pizza Blend (From Italy). This blend spices up even the blandest pizza and makes it taste like it came from your favorite pizza parlor. It can be added to the dough or to your tomato sauce. The blend can even be sprinkled on pizza that is being delivered. And it also can be used as a rub on roast chicken or added to spice up your meatloaf. The ingredients are Mediterranean oregano, basil, garlic, thyme, fennel seed, red bell pepper, hot red pepper, parsley, and marjoram.
Taco Seasoning (From Mexico). Our blend adds authentic flavor and a moderate amount of zip to your taco. One of the unique features of the Spice For Life Taco Seasoning is it is salt free. This is unlike the type of taco seasoning you find in a grocery store, which usually contains a significant amount of salt.
Our taco seasoning goes well on any type of taco: fish, ground beef, chicken, eggs, tofu, carnitas (slow cooked pork shoulder), or barbacoa (shredded beef). The ingredients are chili powder, paprika, onion, garlic, cumin, brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne, and Mexican oregano.
Jamaican Jerk (From Jamaica). The memory of Caribbean cooking is re-ignited with your first smell of this seasoning. Its unique well - balanced flavors of the heat from chilis combined with the aromatic spices of allspice, cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon is mouthwatering. Of course, Jerk chicken is very popular, but this blend also goes well on shrimp, goat, and pork chops. The ingredients are allspice, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, onion, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, scotch bonnet, thyme, nutmeg, and chives.
